Some of you may know that I started out as a scrapbooker first, way before card making ever came into the picture. However, I don’t share as much layouts as I’d like – they just seem a lot more personal to me when there are pictures of my family and journalling on it.I plan to share more because I enjoy making them (such a bigger surface area to play with) and it also helps you get to know me better.
Anyhow, here is a layout I recently made for my daughter’s baby album that I’m happy to share – the Cling Jumbo Hydrangea was just calling out to be used on this layout and I love how it pops, being in a color totally different from the rest of the layout.
My layout is will also showcase on the Stampendous Blog tomorrow. You will see a detailed supplies list and instructions listed there. But here is a close up of the hydrangea.
I colored it with Copic Markers and lightly sprayed and dribbled it with Tsukineko goosebump for texture. I also lightly sanded the embossed Core’dination cardstock for a distressed look. To add some dimension and interest, I adhere a white doily and only parts of the leaves. I love making layouts.
Oh and if you regularly follow my blog, you will have read that my daughter just celebrated her 2nd birthday during Thanksgiving week – yikes, that’s how far behind I am.

Papercrafting came into my life in 2006 after my son was born. He inspired me to create. The goal of my blog is to allow us to share and inspire each other with our art and for me to provide an update of sales events for my greeting card business,

What a wonderful photo of the three of you, Steph. And, your hydrangea is gorgeous.
I would love to scrapbook again but there is just no time. I did that for about a year before I started making cards and loved it. Maybe again someday.
