I love all kinds of little embellishment, tools you can use and pretty things you can put on a card. So many to choose from – it’s like asking me to choose my favorite paper manufacturer. Impossible!
I like pearls very much (so elegant); I like the color ivory; I like my white space (so clean); I like dry embossing; but my all time favorite has got to be die cuts. I think almost all (if not all) of my cards have some die cuts on it – can’t live without them. I mean, I could use a trimmer or a scissors but nah, I’m too lazy.
So here is my card with all my favorite things on it.

This is the image that makes my heart melt and remind me of my little baby girl (although she denies being my baby elephant). It is illustrated by Crissy Armstrong – and she is having a DT call this month. I get Crissy’s images from Whimsy stamps and they are having a 25% off digi sale this month (although this specific “Baby of Mine” image is only in rubber.)
Patterned papers are from the new Authentique collection. Swiss dot paper was embossed using the Cuttlebug textured folder.Shapes were cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities dies. Image was colored using Copic Markers. Sentiment is from Crafter’s Companion – Popcorn the Bear Collection. Flowers are from Prima, pearls are from Hero Arts and the “baby” clip is from Making Memories.

I love long weekends!! The kids play till they are worn out and I get to make cards while they are napping.
Here are the cards I made today. It’s the 1st time I’m using digital stamps and I love it!
The meadow is from Whimsy Stamp Crissy Armstrong’s Collection. I love how versatile the stamp is for many different images. Of course, everyone recognizes Tilda. I believe she is new from the 2011 sweet rainbow collection. I love how bright and colorful this card turned out that I didn’t even have to photo edit it at all.
My next card is also from the Crissy Armstrong Collection. I just adore this little girl and her puppy – I love that she looks so vintage. Quite a different look from Tilda. And she is so easy to color – all the shading spots are already highlighted on the stamp! Thanks Crissy.
I’m off to make more cards since the kids are still asleep and Crissy is having a design team call!! (scroll down to see blinkie on sidebar) Have a happy 4th everyone!!

Sunday’s at Crissy – design team call
What is better on a hot summer day and an ice cold slice of watermelon? An ice cold bowl of sweet cherries in an air conditioned room of course … yum!
Here is my sweet bowl of cherries colored with Copic markers in my air conditioned craft room. Thank goodness for modern amenities!
I had always only used my colorless blender to fix mistakes but this is the 1st time I am using it to draw the colors away from the bowl to create more highlights. I like how it turned out – I think the colorless blender is going to be my new best friend.
Stamps are from Unity Stamps Company. Copic markers used are R35, R20, BG72, BG75, 0. Scalloped square is punched using Marvy Uchida Extra Giga Scalloped Square punch. This is my less-than-30 minutes, quick and easy card.

I also wanted to share another quick and easy card that I have submitted for various other challenges in the past and will send this for The Pink Elephant challenge this week.
Background is stamped with Impression Obsession Cover-a-card Wavy Lines and embellished with Hero Arts crystal gemstones. Foreground is embossed with Sizzix textured impressions embossing folder – wedding set #2 set on core’dinations black cardstock.

You may have noticed that I have been making little changes to the design of my blog every so often. But today, I have hit the mother load of change – I’ve changed the entire hosting domain of my blog. From Blogger to WordPress. Apparently, Daniel, my technology GURU, thinks Blogger is not “powerful and versatile” enough so I have to go to a “better” one – solely his opinion, but after the blogger outage last week, I am inclined to agree.

I love challenges – they give me a reason to get cracking and as the name implies – they also challenge me to be versatile with my creations and use different colors and medium. Did I say I love challenges?

I just love the Flourishes products – so timeless and elegant. And best of all, every Tuesday, they have a challenge where you can win. So here is my submission for this Tuesday.
My background was embossed using Tim Holtz Burlaps and Swirls Texture Fades and the evening gown image is from Impression Obsession. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Purple Concord to color the image.

Welcome and Happy Mother’s Day! Today is one of the rare days I get so much time to myself to play in my craft room – thanks to the cooperation of my husband and children. So here is one of my favorite Mother’s Day card I made to share.
To create the background, I used Impression Obsession Cover-A-Card Tapestry, embossed with Ranger Ink black embossing powder and inked it with Tsukineko VersaColor Ultimate Pigment Ink – canary, scarlet and orange.
