Halloween Banner – 2012

Hello folks,

Every year, I make a holiday banner for my mantel. Last year was Christmas and I guess after a shopping trip from Michaels, it’s going to be Halloween this year.

Here are a couple of close up shots of the banner:

Check out that cool hand … it’s scaring the heck out of me and it’s cold to the touch…eeeek!

That bling spider … swoon!! oh and the owl … my FAVORITE!

My banner is actually a canvas banner mini album from Maya Road, papers and washi tape from My Mind’s Eye, stamps from Stampendous and Gourmet Rubber Stamps, Bling spider is from Martha Stewart. It was a fun shopping trip.

How are you decorating your house for Halloween or Christmas?

A Day of Joy!

Dear friends,

Actually, I’m expecting to have a month of joy! I’m heading to Singapore and Hong Kong for our family vacation tomorrow!! I’m not looking forward to the 24 hour flight with 2 young kids but I’m so excited to get there.

I will have some post scheduled but please bare with the less frequency. And before I leave, here is my card for today!

The adorable Strawberry Kisses Cutie card! There is a Crafter’s Companion new release today – Ian Hollow line of stamps. I just didn’t get my stamps in time for me to make the card and post today. I still  love revisiting older stamp sets – the beauty is still remains and I always find a new found appreciation for them (although this one is not that old – it was released in January this year).

This little cutie was colored using Spectrum Noir markers (cup/saucer: BT2, BT4, BT5, LV2, OR1; cat: TN2, TN3, PP1 ; bow: LV1, LV2, LV5). The little spool is from Maya Road and twine is from Doodlebug Designs. I just handwrote my sentiment.

I hope you have your day of joy!

Thank You Sew much

Good morning everyone,

Lately, I’ve been noticing and feeling extra blessed -  lots of lovely comments I’ve gotten from my online friends, lots of Mother’s Day prezzies and cards from my family, just simply lots of kind attention … so here is a thank you card for you all …

All the papers and stickers on the card are from Momenta. The little sewing machine is from American Crafts and the spool is from Maya Road. That measuring tape ribbon is an old twill ribbon I had in my stash for eons because I didn’t know how to use it – I guess if you wait long enough, everything comes back into style.
