I’m Going Green …

Hello everyone,

I just realized that I rarely use green in my cards … I only realized that when I was organizing my craftroom and realize that my green papers are overflowing, my bottle of green buttons is so full I can’t close it and I have green ribbon and twine up the wazoo! So in my effort to declutter, I made a green card.

I love how my leaves turned out – courtesy of Suzanne Dean’s bag of tricks from CMC Classroom class 3 that I just completed. She also goes on the road so frequently sharing her wealth of coloring wisdom that if you are ever fortunate to have her come to your area, don’t miss her classes. Here is her On the Road Schedule. My paper is from an old 8×8 paper pack from Making Memories, the die is from Heartfelt Creations and the image from The Pixie Cottage – who is also sponsoring this month’s CMC Classroom challenge. Come play along!

Celebration at CMC Classroom

Hello everyone!

It’s time for another challenge at CMC Copic challenge … this week’s theme is “Celebration”.

Yup! I got it right this week … even though I made a Halloween card! It’s mighty early for a Halloween card but it’s my favorite celebration of the year – all the candy, decorating, fun without the hosting and cooking. Sure – you can eat candy for dinner.

My paper is from We R Memory Keeper, Black and white polka dots is washi tape from K & Co. My bat is from Bazzill and my candy is from Martha Stewart. My girl witch image is from The Pixie Cottage stamps.

Please go here to enter in the challenge. You can use any image you want as long as they are colored with any alcohol markers AND fit the theme of course. Your card must also be newly created.

The winner of this challenge will win digi stamps from The Pixie Cottage and when you play along the entire month (just 2 cards), you are also entered into the monthly drawing for the shopping spree at Oozak. How can you beat two prize opportunities – head on over to be inspired and get to coloring.

Cuddly Critters

Hello everyone,

Today is my last post for The Pixie Cottage – my term with them has come to an end and Michelle has decided to take  a break for the summer (i.e. not renewing any terms). Thank you for the opportunity to join this fabulous team for the last half a yr! I had a great time getting to know you fine ladies and working with the incredibly talented design team.

Without further ado, here is my card today that would fit in perfectly with the current challenge over at The Pixie Cottage.

The challenge this week is to create a card using cuddly critters and/or use the sketch below:

Well, I might just have a weakness for cuddly critters and I used this cute little one called Gone Fishing from Michelle’s Scrapbooking and More.

This little cutie was colored using Copic Markers. Papers are from Lilybee Designs.

Come join in the fun and win 2 stamps of your choice from The Pixie Cottage!

Perfect Pastels

Welcome to another Pixie Cottage challenge!

The challenge this week is to create a card using pastels and/or use the sketch below:

I’m not great at a pastel palette – I love my strong contrast and darker and brighter colors. But like many of you, I love a challenge to strength my comfort zone. So be kind to me and here is my pastel card:

Girly girl buffy here was colored using Copic Marker.Papers are from My Mind’s Eye, that stunning die cut is from Heartfelt Creations and that pretty pink flower is from Prima.

It’s the leap year …

Anything goes on this day that happens once every 4 years! I wasn’t even sure if this date was available for me to schedule this post! (I guess it was).

That’s the very easy challenge happening this week at The Pixie Cottage. Make whatever you like – Anything goes and/or use the sketch below:

Here is my anything goes card:

I used chalk to color this little birdie. This is such a versatile stamp set that I have found myself reaching for it time and time again. That adorable floral circle die is new from Memory Box – I had to try it out and it cuts beautifully! Paper is from Crate Paper.
