Just chillin’ for the holidays

Good morning, afternoon and evening my friends,

Welcome again to another Through the Craftroom Door Challenge. Today’s challenge theme is “snowflakes” on a circle card – make a blue and white circle card with lots of sparkle and bling. Since my last TTCRD challenge, I can’t get enough of coloring Gilli stamps so I guess I have to use my Gilli again on this card.

Suzanne Dean, from Color Me Creative Classroom is our generous sponsor of this challenge. You can win 1 copic class of your choice at CMC classroom. In case this sounds familiar with you too, yup, I design for Color Me Creative too and I also take Suzanne’s classes – they are full of invaluable coloring techniques (quite different from the certification class, which is more informational).

Well, here is my blue and white sparkly circle card:

Sentiment is from Inky Antics, snowflakes are from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Wait – there is more – you get a 2nd chance at winning too:

when you play both TTCRD challenges in the month, you get a chance to win an $18 gift certificate for Ippity stamps too, proudly sponsered by Aletha from Ippity.

Stay warm and Happy Holidays!

Gold, Cream and White Holidays!!

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone whereever you are,

This week’s challenge at Color Me Creative Classroom is based on these inspiration photos:

Now isn’t that festive…You should use the colors Gold, Cream and White in your challenge.

Oh you can use a darker color to stamp your image – I was having a terrible blond moment when I stamped my image multiple times in gold, then cream and white. Imagine the lines disappearing on me when I colored and the result has a hideous blob! (I wouldn’t share that picture of the snowman I colored when his eyes disappeared in a blob and I had to draw it in!!) Fortunately, my team mates pulled me out of that rut.

Here is my gold, cream and white card:

This challenge will run till January 6, 2012, through the holidays. So you have plenty of time to enter.

Reading is Fundamental is the charity Suzanne has chosen to sponsor this season.  Here is why she has chosen this charity “As you all know I am an avid reader and it amongst my very favorite things to do in my spare time.  I truly believe that literacy and reading opens up many doors in life for everyone.  Not only can you find joy in books but it opens your eyes to other cultures, places and people that is so worthwhile.  And just the fact that a huge part of life involves being able to read–to get through school, get a great job and navigate through life.  For me teaching children to read early on in life is a MUST yet so many children are not provided with the basic materials to learn to read.  So this charity is a non-profit that provides books to children and opportunities to bring literacy into areas that need it!”
Head on over to play – you’re doing a good thing.

Halloween Tuesday Throwdown

Welcome to another Tuesday Throwdown Challenge!!

Today’s theme is Halloween! How could it not be – we’re all waiting for the day to come … at least my kids are! Time to load up on candy for the year …

You can win something too in time for Halloween if you play. No, not candy but stamps from Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps! What are you waiting for?

Here is my Halloween card:

I opted for a fairly clean and simple white (for the most part) Halloween card for this challenge. By this time, I had done a couple of Halloween cards for several DT assignments and they are all loaded with busy patterned paper of the orange, green, purple variety … so I thought I might try something different this time. What do you think – is this different repeatable?

Challenges entered:

Simon Says Stamp Challenge

7 Kids College Fund Challenge

Cute Card Thursdays

One Crazy Stamper
